Day 9 Jumping Jacks: 12 Days of Fitness

On the ninth day of Fitness

My Y Coach gave to me

Thirty (30) jumping jacks

Twenty (20) plank jacks

Ten (10) triceps push-ups

Twenty (20) air squats

Twenty (20) squat front-kicks

Thirty (30) seconds of planks

Twenty (20) awesome push-ups

Twenty (20) pop squats

and one minute of high knees by the tree

Jumping jacks are a welcome throwback to gym class in grade school and I still enjoy doing them. Jumping jacks are a great total body exercise. There are many variations on the jumping jack (see videos below) that you can learn to accommodate your current level of health and fitness. Make sure you have enough safe space to perform the jumping jacks. Use good form at all times. Be careful as you transition from the jumping jacks to the plank jacks. Move slowly and allow yourself a few seconds to transition from one exercise to another.
