2023 July 19 Consistency Posts x 3 Days



Greetings! I hope you are doing well. It has been a few days since I last blogged about my consistency. Never fear, I continue to keep a daily log and will share a few days here. Why do I do this? Consistency posts help keep me accountable to myself by showing up for you. I also hope to lead by example and encourage you to take a few minutes and "journal" about your day. It does not have to be long. These simple prompts provide me with an opportunity to reflect on my day.



Consistency Post: July 19, 2023

Meals, Movement, Mindset, Sleep, Stress (3MS)


🙏 Today, I am grateful for having a roof over my head. I encountered a young man sleeping under an underpass on my run this morning and it reminded me to be grateful for all I have.


😄 The highlight of my day was joining a call with Leif and some fantastic leaders in Vegan health and nutrition. So many wonderful opportunities to collaborate 😊


💪🏾 My movement win of the day was a 2-mile warm-up run on the treadmill (trying to work on my pacing) followed by a run in the pouring rain. Puddles galore and a near miss with a skunk!


🌱 My nutrition win of the day was saving my bowl of pickles until the end of the day. Have you noticed that pickles vary based on the brand? I am becoming a pickle snob but I think Sprouts has some of the best pickles ever.


🤗 My mindset/motivation win of the day was finding a way to make the right decisions. Sometimes it is really hard. Sometimes it hurts. But not making a decision can also be painful in different ways. Maybe my frame of reference is impacted by my past; in the OR making a decision was sometimes life or death. That puts some of my challenging decisions today into perspective. Making tough decisions is sometimes forcing me to choose my hard.


😴 Sleep time last night was 5 hours 30 minutes.

🙏 Today, I am grateful for living a life free of the need to collect things. I listened to a great interview during my workout on the Model Health Show with Light Watkins.


😄 The highlight of my day was sharing chatting with one of the Titans about the 3MS and their impact on health and well-being.


💪🏾 My movement win of the day was hitting some new PBs during my workout today.


🌱 My nutrition win was hitting my macros again with the help of some Daring Chikn cooked to perfection with lots of spices..


🤗 My mindset/motivation win of the day was “get ‘er done”


😴 Sleep time last night was 6 hours 29 minutes

🙏 Today, I am grateful for being able to support my family when they reach out in times of need.


😄 The highlight of my day was being interviewed for The Health Feast podcast. I love chatting with Dr. Rak and Po.


💪🏾 My movement win of the day was step mill – chest/shoulders/back – walk.


🌱 My nutrition win of the day was having a variety of fun foods and hitting my macros (remember, there is no perfection).


🤗 My mindset/motivation win of the day was singing the Happy Song while I answered messages this morning. This song always makes me smile.


😴 Sleep time last night was 5 hours 46 minutes.
