On this Thanksgiving Day eve, I find myself reflecting on what truly matters: health, strength, community, gratitude, and purpose. This holiday, I celebrate so much. And I hope you’ll be inspired to join me in gratitude, in movement, and in community.
Why I’m Grateful This Thanksgiving
For the gift of health and strength
I’m humbled and deeply thankful that my body carries me forward, sometimes with fatigue, always with resolve. As a physician and health coach who champions women’s health and optimal healthspan, I know there’s nothing to take for granted. I am even more thankful as I continue to recover from my Tough Mudder accident in 2024 (yes, I am still healing).
Every run, every lift, every breath is a celebration of what my body can do, even more so because I choose to nourish it as a healthy, fit vegan. When I lace up for a 5K or sweat through a strength session, I am reminded: I am strong, capable, and alive. And for that, I give thanks.

For my parents: their love, legacy, and presence in my heart
Though I miss my parents dearly every day, I carry their love, wisdom, and strength within me. Their support and guidance helped shape me into the woman I am today. On days when I feel weary, I sense their quiet encouragement. I’m eternally grateful that they continue to look after me, through memory, through spirit, and through every healthy choice I make that honors their legacy.
For this community and everyone on this journey with me
I am so thankful for this vibrant, compassionate community. I am thankful for the people who encourage me to keep sharing what I have learned about women’s health, fitness, wellness, and longevity. I am thankful for those who resonate with plant‑based living and sustainable choices. I am grateful for those who show up, whether it’s in movement, in message, or in support.
Your energy fuels me. Your stories inspire me. And your willingness to grow, learn, and live intentionally makes me hopeful for the future.
For the planet, the animals, and our shared responsibility
My gratitude extends beyond human life, to the animals, to the earth, to the delicate systems that sustain life. Living a vegan lifestyle is, for me, not only about health, but about compassion, stewardship, and love. This Thanksgiving, I celebrate the opportunity to align my values with my lifestyle. To honor our planet and all its inhabitants through mindful choices.
