San Antonio Pro Recap

Last weekend at the 4th Annual IFBB Professional League Yamamoto Nutrition Cup San Antonio Pro was wonderful. I already miss the structure that comes with competition prep. I know, I am not normal.

A huge shout out to the winner of the Master's Figure Over 40 at the San Antonio Pro 2018. All of the women at that show are winners in my book! It was so inspiring to listen to people's journey and goals. One of the things I enjoy most about competing is having an opportunity to spend time getting to know

the competitors.

I placed fourth out of four competitors. I want to thank TIm Gardner, the juding team, the backstage expediters that kept us on time and laughing constantly and the teams from Hot Spot Competition Tanning and EYEkonic Beauty. Some people have asked if I am disappointed. Sure, I love to win, but am I disappointed, absolutely not. This prep has been one of the most challenging in the 12 years I have been competing in figure. The challenges were a combination of life and work but nothing that could not be overcome. What I realized over the past 8 months is that I am stronger, physically and mentally, than I knew. I am not tooting my own horn, please don't get me wrong. It was just a chance for me to dig deep, then dig deep again and each time I was able to find a level of strength I had not known I possessed. I won this competition by stepping on stage with one of the best physiques of my career. I need to thank Derek Charlebois (PR-Breaker) for his patience, guidance, kindness and perseverance in helping me achieve my goals. Derek was steadfast in his confidence that I could make it happen. It is great to have an accountability partner; knowing that I had to send in my stats and pics every week was a good motivator. I also want to thank Tamee Marie for the beautiful suit I was able to wear onstage. Most of all I have to thank KK for his love, endless patience, support and tolerance of my grumpiness over the past 8 months.

What's next? What's my next goal? Well, I am already back in the gym :-) Stay tuned and I will update you in a future post.

What are your health and wellness goals? I'd love to hear more about your journey.
