Meals, Movement, Mindset, Sleep (3MS)

🙏 Today, I am grateful for Reston Family Smiles!! Thank you for the warm welcome as a new patient. The time and energy you took to ensure I was cared for is appreciated.

😄 The highlight of my day was our team call. You get a good sense of people’s character when we gather to support each other and the VSA community. We have a fantastic team that worked tirelessly to do the right thing.

💪🏾 My movement win of the day was my morning walk. It is wonderful that the air is warm and there is enough light out that I don’t need a headlamp. I love watching the sunrise.

🌱 My nutrition win of the day was a bit of a challenge! I didn’t get to eat until almost 4 pm. I had a tofu salad that was enough for 4!!

🤗 My mindset/motivation win of the day was focused on doing the right thing. This was something I learned when I was at CCHS. Do the right thing and the rest will follow.

😴 Sleep time last night was 6 hours 13 minutes. I am sharing my sleep time to be transparent about the challenges I am having with sleep. I want to make sure I share with all of you how important it is to understand the quality and quantity of your sleep. I know what I need to do to get 7 – 8 hours per night; I need to be consistent with my sleep hygiene. That is why I am posting, to be transparent and allow you to see that perfection does not exist and to provide an opportunity to share what steps I am taking to get back on track.
