Are you at risk for developing type 2 diabetes? The YMCA of Greater Kansas City Community Integrated Health Department is excited to announce 3 new Diabetes Prevention Classes starting across the KC Metro in the several next weeks.

CLEAVER FAMILY YMCA

Saturdays, 9:15 a.m.

Starting date: November 04th, enrollment closes November 25

NORTH KANSAS CITY YMCA

1999 Iron Street, North Kansas City, MO 64116

Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.

Starting date: November 08th, enrollment closes November 22

PLATTE COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTER SOUTH

8875 Clark Ave, Parkville, MO 64152

Saturdays, 10 a.m.

Starting date: November 11th, enrollment closes December 02


The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program is a year-long program divided into 16 weekly sessions, 3 bi-weekly sessions, and 6 monthly sessions. Each session is 1 hour in length and led by a trained lifestyle coach where you and a group of 8-15

individuals will discuss healthy eating, physical activity, and how to stay motivated to make a lifestyle change to prevent or reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
